Comment: The Kolcraft Simple Shut Wooden Safety Gate, very simply, does the job required. It is a handsome, well made, solid safety gate. I installed the gate in a permanent hardware installation at the top of the basement stairs to prevent our pets from wandering into the basement areas. It has worked perfectly, was easy to install, easy to use and the wooden construction is pleasing to the eye. I would highly recommend this gate.
