Summary: Good gate
Comment: This is a good baby gate. We purchased it for the large opening between our living room and kitchen to keep our 25lb 8-month old crawling baby out. It is anchored into the trim (not drywall) and it is very secure. He is able to pull up on it, tries to bulldoze it, and pushes on the mesh and still no problems. It takes a little while to get the technique down for opening and closing the door, but its great not to have to climb over it (although you can if your hands are full). We also had to get used to steping over the bar at the bottom, but now we are used to it and dont really have a problem. Overall its a good gate.

Summary: Awesome gate I have three
Comment: I love this gate! I have three like stated above! One to block off a pellet / wood stove. And the other two for when or whatever I need. They can block off the kitchen or be used together and have a huge play yard for horse shows or family visits. Its great! Very easy to install took me less than 30 mins right out of the box. My son and 4 dogs all over a hundred lbs have been quite hard on it and its held up amazing!

Summary: Okay if you want a permanent structure
Comment: It is a sturdy bugger and the expandability allowed me to block off my living room from the rest of the house. The main drawback I have with the item is that it has no portability what-so-ever (unless you buy a second unit and attach them together to create a giant playpen). To make this work, screw it into the wall. There's one set of wall mounts so it's not like you can even swing it around to another location. If you want to use this, keep in mind, you are putting 8 screws into your walls and/or woodwork to do it. Other than that, it keeps my powerhouse 1-year-old contained and she even does pull-ups on it (she weighs 22.2 lbs. and is 31.5" tall) w/o a problem.

Comment: Love the flexibility for a difficult space - we have it at an odd angle and it works well. Can't attach to a stairwell though but we tied the end bar to the bannister with some strong plastic zip ties and it's very sturdy. Would recommend this gate - love the door feature as well - easy to use with one hand.
